A very popular breakfast option in Europe, overnight oats are becoming more and more popular here. We found the perfect recipe for you to try at home! Make ahead, and you’ll have a creamy serving of oats ready to grab from the fridge as you rush out the door. Use the base recipe proportions and sub in your favourite Mott’s Fruitsations to create custom flavour blends.

PREP TIME: 5 minutes

SKILL LEVEL: Beginner

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 container (104 mL) Mott’s Fruitsations Unsweetened Apple Sauce
  • ½ cup (125 mL) large flake rolled oats
  • ¼ tsp (1 ml) ground cinnamon
  • Pinch each ground nutmeg and sea salt
  • ½ cup (125 mL) milk (dairy or non-dairy, as preferred)
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) maple syrup (optional)
  • Diced apple (optional)

DIRECTIONS:

Shake oats with cinnamon, nutmeg and salt in a pint jar. Add apple sauce, milk and maple syrup (if using). Stir well and top with lid. Reserve in refrigerator overnight. Garnish with diced apple (if using) just before serving.

Makes 1 serving (recipe doubles or triples easily).
