Daiquiri Frappe from Lost Lake in Chicago, Paul McGee & Shelby Allison (Co-owners/bartenders) is a fun take on the classic daiquiri that is just the right amount of frozen. They said that the dry sugar and lime zest helps reduce the water so it’s not too watery (which often happens when people blend cocktails at home). A refreshing frozen cocktail to enjoy as the weather warms up!
Ingredients:
2 oz rum
.5 oz fresh lime juice
1.5 tbsp sugar
1 pinch lime zest
1.5 cups of ice
Instructions: Add all ingredients to a blender and mix on medium for 15 seconds. Pour into a coup glass or rocks. Top with more lime zest.
