Chefs Alvin Leung, Claudio Aprile, Evan Dickinson, Lynn Crawford and Chef Massimo Capra made up the stellar line-up of culinary masters who led their fundraising teams during an epic battle, live on stage, to become the Culinary Showdown Champions! The event took place on November 26, 2022 at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Toronto Airport and Conference Centre. Culinary Showdown benefited the Epilepsy South Central Ontario.

Cynthia Milburn, CEO Epilepsy South Central Ontario, commented that, “The awareness and funds generated from this event will allow Epilepsy South Central Ontario to continue to provide vital access to families and individuals whose lives rely on our services. Having these iconic chefs, fundraisers, sponsors and partners such as SMEG, Giant Tiger and Burnbrae Farms join us is an honour.”

Fifty of the event’s top fundraisers earned a coveted spot on a competing team coached and led by one of the Celebrity Showdown’s participating chefs. The event’s host was Seinfeld alum and former Dancing with the Stars champion, John O’Hurley.

Culinary Showdown featured two exciting events. The first event had participants taking part in Celebrity Chef School, where they learn first-hand professional tricks and time-saving hacks directly from the chefs.
