If you want to travel the world or have dreams of living and working in other countries then it is important to develop a skill set that can be used the worldwide. It could be a professional career path or a niche skill that where you just need you brains and a laptop to provide a revenue stream for yourself. There are many ways you can ensure you have the ability to work worldwide and this article will provide some real-life examples for you.

Programming

Programming is not easy and can take years of training and work experience to get to the skill level that you need. Once  you are up and running, programmers are highly sought after and can earn a very decent living. Skilled programmers can work remotely from anywhere in the world and can often be relocated with very comfortable relocation packages by interested parties. The demand for programmers is only expected to grow, so getting in on the action early is one of the best ways to ensure your spot on the team.

Care provider

The need for social care is global, whether working in a developed or developing nation. If you have the appropriate bedside manner, previous work experience, and a caring deposition finding work as a care provider will be possible in almost any country. The biggest challenge you are likely to face is a language barrier. Communication is key when providing care. Being a caregiver can be a hugely rewarding role wherever you are in the world, however, you will need to be mindful of and prepared for certain cultural differences that exist.

Cleaning

If the native language of the country you intend to visit, stay, live or work in is likely to pose a problem then consider a cleaning role. The language of cleaning is universal and cleaners are needed worldwide in a variety of settings, from homes to hospitals. Cleaning can be a very flexible and lucrative career option and is one where your work will speak for itself. So if you are prepared to give it a bit of elbow grease then consider a future in cleaning.

Trading

If you like to work alone, at your own pace, have a keen eye for numbers and aren’t afraid of a little risk, then consider a career in trading. You will need to possess a certain skill set and have a good internet connection, but it can provide you with a very decent standard of living from just about anywhere in the world. Whether you use Swyftx for cryptocurrency trading or more traditional stock market trading is certainly a viable option for those with the know-how and guts to do it.

Online teaching

Online teaching and e-learning is an industry greatly on the rise. The global lockdowns and home-based education have brought the industry forward and made online education not only more accessible, but more appealing. Online education can come in many forms from language learning to mathematical tutoring. If you have the teaching skills, the knowledge required, and can navigate time-zones and Google Classroom, then online teaching may be a viable option for you. What is more, you can do it to fund your travels while you explore Canada or as you sit in your vacation home by the sea. Online teaching can be done from anywhere in the world.
