Christmas Movies to Revisit This Holiday Season

It’s (almost) December so… it’s basically Christmas, right? We know you’re already planning your Christmas movie marathon – food, pajamas, blankets…We have our recommendations, although you’ve most likely seen a few, or many, of these. Revisit some of the best Christmas movies this holiday season!

Home Alone 2: Lost in New York

Let’s settle this once and for all… Home Alone 2: Lost in New York is the best of the series! With a refreshing take on the premise of the franchise and a collection of lovable and eccentric characters, it’s hard not to love this film. And New York.

The entire Harry Potter series

Not that this is specifically Christmas-related, but if you must, re-watch at least the first film and fall in love all over again with young Daniel Radcliffe opening his Christmas gift (spoiler alert: it’s the invisibility cloak).

The Polar Express

The children’s epic directed by Zemeckis is one of those films that you have to watch with a group of friends and a lot of food. The film is a pioneer of live action motion capture animation and is a twist on your regular ‘search for Santa’ films.

Singin’ in the Rain

Arguably one of the best musicals of all time, Singin’ in the Rain is a wink at Hollywood’s transition between the silent era and the entry of sound in film. Funny, light-hearted, and romantic, fall in love all over again (or for the first time) with Gene Kelly, Debbie Reynolds, and Donald O’Connor.

Love Actually

The iconic ‘Christmas season love story’ obviously made it to this list! Fluffy romance and quirky dialogue meet in this ‘anthology’ of romantic stories signed Richard Curtis.

Roman Holiday

Also not entirely a Christmas film, it is nevertheless a great one to watch during the Holiday season. Starring Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck, follow the short-lived yet completely adorable love story of a princess and a reporter.

Elf

Everyone’s favorite Christmas movie to quote around the Holidays, Elf is a funny and feel-good movie that you could watch all year long, TBH.

The Devil Wears Prada

A fashion film classic, The Devil Wears Prada is a rather biased look into the fashion journalism industry (seriously, we love our jobs here!), but we love to quote it – and re-watch it – especially around Christmas. Get your girls together!

A Bad Moms Christmas

I haven’t personally seen this yet, but I loved the first one in this series, so I doubt the Christmas edition will be bad! Follow the lives of three mothers who are trying to go against the unrealistic expectations that a ‘good’ mother should be – but during Christmas.
