KitchenAid’s 2026 Colour of the Year Will Calm and Inspire You

If your kitchen could use a breath of fresh air, this might be it.

KitchenAid’s 2026 Colour of the Year has been revealed and it’s Spearmint. The soft, minty green feels equal parts soothing and energizing. What makes this year’s launch especially interesting is the brand-new Sand finish: a subtle, tactile texture designed to add warmth and grounding to an otherwise airy hue.

The idea behind Spearmint is simple (and timely): create a sense of calm while still feeling revitalized. Think lighter mornings, clearer counters, and that small spark of motivation that comes from refreshing your space without doing a full renovation.

According to KitchenAid, Spearmint was developed in response to shifting consumer moods, with more people craving balance, renewal, and moments of clarity at home. It’s meant to be a colour you don’t just see, you feel.

This marks the eighth edition of KitchenAid’s Colour of the Year program, which taps into global trends while staying rooted in the brand’s long-standing belief that colour fuels creativity (a philosophy they’ve embraced since introducing colourful stand mixers back in the 1950s).

Where to Find KitchenAid’s 2026 Colour of the Year

For Canadians, the Spearmint launch comes through an exclusive retail partnership with Best Buy Canada or at kitchenaid.ca retailing for 544.99.

Our Take

Colour trends come and go, but this one feels genuinely livable. Spearmint isn’t loud or overly precious. It’s soft, modern, and quietly optimistic. Paired with that sandy texture, it feels more design-forward than novelty shade. It’s the kind of appliance that can actually anchor a kitchen, not just decorate it.

If you’ve been waiting for a reason to refresh your countertop (or finally invest in that stand mixer), KitchenAid’s 2026 Colour of the Year announcement might be your sign.
