According to a study conducted by Hologic, a leading provider of women’s health screening and diagnosis, Canada ranks only 43rd out of 116 countries and territories in terms of women’s and girls’ health and well-being. Therefore it is vital to contact Les cliniques Marois for a health screening as it affects many spheres, but mental health comes first when it comes to talking about health issues.

Indeed, according to the same study, more than a third of Canadian women said they felt sad for most of the previous day – and it had nothing to do with the pandemic. Here are 3 simple ways to be happier every day:

Practice Mindfulness

Mindfulness practice is becoming more common when it comes to mental health. Research shows that mindfulness helps reduce anxiety and depression. Practicing mindfulness involves breathing methods, guided images, and other useful practices in order to relax the body and mind. In addition, try to remain positive and grateful for what we have. An attitude of gratitude promotes better mental health.

Be Active

Physical activity improves mental health by reducing anxiety, depression and negative mood and improving self-esteem and cognitive function. Exercise can also relieve symptoms such as low self-esteem and social withdrawal. So, keep moving!

Have Friends You Can Count On

Good, healthy friendships increase our sense of belonging, improve our self-confidence, and reduce stress and anxiety. In fact, studies have shown that people who maintain close friendships during their teenage years have a lower rate of depression or anxiety later in life. Friendship is essential but it has to be cultivated and evolves throughout a lifetime, so you have to take care of it!
