Hot air ballooning is celebrated at the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. It gives the neighborhood a wonderful sense of adventure and excitement. Every year in October, Albuquerque, New Mexico, hosts this balloon fiesta event. The Fiesta event began in 1972 with 13 balloons. Nearly 500 balloons fly in the festivities as time flies by now.
