The Busy Girl’s Guide to Saying Yes to You

I don’t know about you, but the weeks are flying by for me! Between press trips, product launches, a move, planning a wedding and daily routine, I sometimes end up not having a minute to myself. What should you do when you are feeling pulled in a million directions? Follow my advice and say yes to you.

Prioritize and make time to do what you enjoy

When times are hectic, I often review my entire agenda and cancel some non-essential professional commitments to make time for myself. Whether it is planning a coffee with a friend or just staying at home to clean and relax, it makes me feel better! The more I do this, the more I realize that I need time for myself. This allows me to refocus and take some time to just breathe!

Water and healthy food

I go to a lot of restaurants for work – lucky me, I know! I try to balance this by cooking simple and healthy dishes at home so that I do not lose control over my diet. I also drink a lot of water and eliminate coffee and alcohol when times are particular busy in order to keep my energy level up all day.

Sleep is key

If there is one thing that I have learned in my thirties, it is that sleep is very important to me. I sometimes envy people who only need a few hours of rest per night, but I know that I need my eight hours. It also helps if I put away my phone and read a book before I go to bed.  It frees my mind and helps me relax before I go to sleep!

Probiotics to stay balanced

Koena Probiotics
Probiotic supplements help me feel healthier! I like koena because it works in harmony with your body to help promote a favorable gut flora. It helps to support my gastrointestinal (GI) health.

How do you say yes to you when life gets hectic?
