Gin and Tonic is the ultimate summer drink.  It is simple and refreshing.  This recipe updates the classic gin and tonic.  The ideal drink uses a good gin and it is worth the splurge.  Tonic is in the midst of a resurgence of popularity and there are more options on the market.  If gin is too strong for your taste, adapt the recipe by using vodka.

(ABV: 15%) Calories per serving: 185

Ingredients:

2 oz. Gin

2 juniper berries

2 small sprigs of rosemary

1/2 oz. lime juice

1 dash hops bitters (or other aromatic bitters)

3 oz. Strongbrow Rosé Apple

Lime wedge

Cocktail Recipe

Directions:

In a shaker, combine gin, juniper berries, one rosemary sprig, lime juice and bitters with ice and shake vigorously.  Carefully strain into a rocks glass full of ice, top with Strongbrow Rosé Apple and stir briefly.  Garnish with reserved rosemary sprig and lime wedge.  Pairs well with seafood.
