The Cause: Canadian Cancer Society
The Canadian Cancer Society’s breast cancer efforts support the cause in numerous ways. They fund research, provide education to help reduce the risk of cancer, provide support services and information and advocate to governments on cancer related issues.

The Cause: Breast Cancer Survivor’s Dragon Boat Teams Across Canada
Dragon boating among breast cancer survivors was unimaginable 25 years ago. Women who had breast cancer diagnoses were advised by medical professionals to avoid any strenuous upper body activity. What originated in Canada as a way to resist the idea that breast cancer was a life-limiting diagnosis, Dragon Boating for breast cancer survivors has since become a global movement; there are over 50 breast cancer dragon boat teams across Canada and over 230 teams worldwide.
