Fall is almost here, which means the return of the famous Pumpkin Spice Latte! If you don’t feel like running to your local coffee shop all the time to get one, here’s how you can make your very own Pumpkin Spice Latte with this very simple recipe.
What you’ll need:
- 2 cups milk
- 2 tablespoons canned pumpkin puree
- 1-3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin spice mix
- 1/2 cup hot coffee
- Whipped cream
Add 2 cups of milk (any type will work) to a saucepan on medium heat, then add 2 heaping tablespoons of pumpkin puree to the pan and stir together.
Next, you add 1-3 tablespoons of sugar to the pan, depending on how sweet you’d like your drink, then grab a whisk and cook until it starts to steam.
If you have pumpkin spice mix, add 1/2 teaspoon to your pan. If not, mix 1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, 2 teaspoons of ground ginger, and 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg. Take 1/2 teaspoon from that mix and add it to the pan, and save the rest for later.
For an extra bit of sweetness, add in 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract to the pan.
Finally, add in your 1/2 cup of hot coffee and whisk until blended.
When you pour your blend into your mug, add some whipped cream and extra pumpkin spice mix for an extra kick.
