A&W Canada is celebrating the 17th annual Burgers to Beat MS Day with Canadians. All funds will go toward supporting MS Canada. Since 2008, $21.7 million has been raised. This year A&W is calling on all Canadians to get involved and show their support to help reach the Burgers to Beat MS fundraising goal!
On Thursday, August 21, Canadians can contribute by visiting their local A&W restaurant and purchasing a Teen Burger. A&W Canada will donate $2 from every Teen Burger sold to MS Canada, to support Canadians living with the disease. If you can’t make it to the restaurant on the actual date, through August 21, Canadians can contribute to the cause by rounding-up their bill with any purchase at an A&W restaurant, through the A&W app, making an online donation at BurgersToBeatMS.ca or by adding a donation to your cart when ordering A&W on Uber Eats. The impact that Burgers to Beat MS has on communities and franchisees is immeasurable:
“As a proudly Canadian company, we’re committed to supporting important causes that matter to Canadians,” says Susan Senecal, President and CEO of A&W Canada. “Each year, A&W franchisees go above and beyond in their communities for Burgers to Beat MS Day with fundraising traditions like raffles, car shows and live music that bring the community together. We look forward to Canadians joining us again on August 21 as we help beat MS, one burger at a time.”
Over 90,000 Canadians live with MS making it the most common neurological disease affecting young adults in Canada. Donations will support world-class research programs, including advancing treatment and care, enhancing wellbeing, and understanding and halting disease progression, and prevention.
“Burgers to Beat MS has truly transformed lives across Canada since day one,” says Dr. Pamela Valentine, President and CEO of MS Canada. “Every Canadian living with MS inspires our mission, and it’s incredible partnerships like the one we have with A&W, that amplify our ability to make positive impact. The funds we raise together don’t just support research—they drive breakthroughs, expand access to vital support and wellness programs, and empower us to advocate for real, lasting change. Together, we’re creating a brighter future for everyone affected by MS.”
