In honour of peach month, here’s a tasty peach crumble to take advantage of the perfectly ripe peaches! This tasty treat will become a favourite and it’s so easy to make. This is a great summer dessert.
This recipe makes 8 servings and doesn’t take long at all.
For the filling:
- 6 cups of peaches, cut into ½ wedges
- ¾ cup of sugar
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
- 4 teaspoons of cornstarch
- ½ teaspoon of salt
For the topping:
- 5 tablespoons of unsalted butter
- ¼ cup of brown sugar
- 1 cup of all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon of salt
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Make the filling for the crumble combining the peaches, sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch, and salt. Put the filling into ramekins or a square pan. To make the topping, grab a large bowl and mixer, beat the butter and brown sugar on medium until it becomes light and fluffy. Then add your flour and salt to the mixture, mix until large pieces form. Then scatter this mixture over the filling. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes. Then just let it cool for 20 minutes before serving.
Tip: It’s best served with vanilla ice cream!
