Now for the products that we tested, coveted and in some cases revisited so that you know what to add to your cart:
Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter* – $26.00-$66.50

Some products seem like an extra step in your routine but prove worthwhile; Charlotte Tilbury’s Hollywood Flawless Filter is one such gem. I only recently tried this product and love it. When you put it on under foundation, your skin looks more radiant, not shiny. Like the name says, it’s like someone put a filter on your skin. It doesn’t cover enough, at least for me, to wear on its own, but it gives foundation a much more natural finish and will make your skin glow without highlighting texture.
DIVINE Tip: Try the mini version to see if you like it before committing to the full-size.
Buy NowDanessa Myricks Beauty Color Fix Multi-Use Eye, Cheek & Lip Waterproof Liquid Pigment* – $27.00

Danessa Myricks Beauty makes the most innovative products on the market. These pigments can be used on the eyes, lips and cheeks, although some of the colours may not work for all three. They are true to colour – what you see is what you get and they have lasting power! They are perfect if you want an elevated one and done eye look.
DIVINE Tip: Like many Danessa Myricks Beauty products, knowing how to use the product will give the best result. Check Instagram or YouTube to see application techniques if you aren’t sure. Only use a tiny drop of this product – it is highly pigmented and it dries down quickly. It is better to start with less and slowly build it up.
Buy NowDanessa Myricks Beauty Groundwork: Blooming Romance – Palette For Eyes, Brows, Face & Lips* – $88.00

I initially liked Danessa Myricks Beauty Groundwork: Blooming Romance but I didn’t fully test it out. I admired Myricks’ creativity and how she created one and done palettes. I used it once or twice and then put it aside. I decided to try it out again recently and fell in love with it. What makes it unique are the velvet pomades. I used the full palette on my brows, eyes and cheeks and was impressed not only with the results, but the wear-time. I used the velvet pomade on my eyes and cheeks and the powder on my brows.
The pigment has a matte finish and doesn’t enhance texture when used as a blush. It lasts all day which is a first for me. When used as an eyeshadow, you can create a soft, pretty look or smoke it out with the more intense colours. As a brow powder and eye liner, it was also long lasting. The colours pulled a bit too deep and red for my brows, but that’s what the original Groundwork palette is for. It is expensive, so now is the time to buy it if you have been on the fence.
DIVINE Tip: Real Techniques brushes are best for applying the velvet pomade. Available at Amazon and other retailers, they aren’t prestige brushes, but they are excellent for apply cream to powder products. Pick up the Real Techniques Eye Shade + Blend and the Real Techniques Face Base set. Use the contour brush to apply the velvet pomades as a blush. The densely packed bristles are ideal for this.
Buy NowMAKEUP FOREVER Super Boost Lightweight Moisturizing Skin Tint* – $49.00

I never tried any products from MAKEUP FOREVER, but this was a good one to start with. The skin tint is more of a true light to medium foundation. I didn’t find that it hydrated my skin. What it did very well was even out my skin tone and provide enough coverage to cancel out so dark spots without it looking heavy or cakey. It lasts all day and doesn’t cling to dry spots. I also like how light-weight the packaging is making it ideal for travel. You press on the pleats on the container to dispense the foundation. It’s a clever idea, and ties in nicely with the “boost” theme, but for almost $50.00, I would prefer a more traditional, airless pump.
Buy NowRare Beauty Stay Vulnerable Melting Cream Blush* – $33.00

The Stay Vulnerable Melting Cream Blush from Rare Beauty is ideal for beginners who want to try a cream blush. It has the perfect amount of pigmentation and you can easily build it up to a higher opacity if that is your favourite way to wear blush. You can easily apply this blush with your fingers or a dense brush like the Real Techniques Contour Blush.
DIVINE Tip: If you want a cool toned blush that leans purple and you are too intimidated by other blushes that are more intense, try this blush in Nearly Mauve or Nearly Berry (with a light hand).
Buy NowFenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Stix High-Shine Gloss Stick* – $34.00

Although I haven’t personally tried the Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Stix High-Shine Gloss Stick, the Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb has appeared on our beauty favourites in the past. It is one of the best glosses on the market and we imagine that the Gloss Bomb Stix High-Shine Gloss Stick won’t disappoint. It comes in high shine and shimmer finishes in a gorgeous array of shades.
Buy NowCharlotte Tilbury Magic Cream Anti-Aging Moisturizer with Hyaluronic Acid* – $88.00-$350.00

This is another example of something that I didn’t want to love, because of the price. I use it in the cold of winter when my skin is at it’s very driest and it made a big different. My fine lines were less visible – there isn’t a cream out there that will get rid of them, but this helped make them look less defined – and my skin felt more supple. It also didn’t cause any rashes or breakouts.
DIVINE Tip: You can buy refills for Magic Cream. Keep your jar and buy the refills to save some money and help the environment.
Buy NowL’Oréal Professionnel Absolut Repair Shampoo for Dry Hair – $55.50

I have used L’Oréal Professionnel hair products for years and often go back to them. My hair stylist recommended them years ago when my hair was particularly dry and damaged. Absolut Repair is one that I often use in the winter when my hair is at it’s driest. It makes a huge difference. Vitamino Color is a go to in the summer.
DIVINE Tip: L’Oréal Professionnel Absolut Repair Shampoo for Dry Hair isn’t meant for fine, limp hair. It can weigh your hair down if it isn’t dry. They have a wide range of shampoos and conditioners – there is one that is right for you.
