There’s so much to learn about sunscreen protection and when it comes to our kids’ delicate skin, we want to know everything. An absolute must is finding a sunscreen that protects against both UVA and UVB rays with a sufficiently high SPF factor.
We have to apply at least an ounce (enough to fill a plastic medicine cup) and reapply often (every two hours). But, we also have to bear in mind that mineral filters, those that reflect rather than absorb UV rays as chemical ones do, are more effective. Mineral sunscreens contain either zinc or titanium, the latter of which is more powerful.
