The Cheerios Summer Games, is a family-friendly challenge where Canadians can host their own games right in their backyard. Here are the five activities that make up the Cheerios Summer Games:
- Obstacle Course created by gold medal winning decathlete, Damian Warner. Use household items to set an obstacle course in your own backyard
- Relay Race created by 11-time Canadian champion sprinter Aaron Brown. Simply move all of your Cheerios from one bowl to another using a spoon, but you have to be fast to win.
- Overflow Challenge created by Team Canada Olympian diver, Caeli McKay. Fill up a cup with water and place a few Cheerios on top to float. Each player takes turns pouring water into the cup without letting the Cheerios spill over.
- Around the Bowl Challenge created by Canadian Paralympic wheelchair basketball sensation, Cindy Ouellet. This game was designed to simulate the seated shots wheelchair basketball players make on the court into an elevated net.
- Lung Power Challenge by triple Olympic swimming medalist, Maggie Mac Neil. Use the power of your breath to score Cheerios into a goal. The one with the most Cheerios in their goal at the end of the timer wins!

“I can’t wait to see families across the country coming together with the Cheerios Summer Games while supporting all of us on Team Canada,” added Olympic Decathlon Gold Medalist, Damian Warner. “We truly love the support we receive from every Canadian when we compete. It fuels our determination and pushes us to achieve our best! Knowing we have a nation cheering behind us makes every challenge worth it and every victory that much more special.”
