Whether you are headed to Toronto for business or leisure, you will want to know about everything the city has to offer. Toronto’s Entertainment District is the best place to finish your day. Here are some of the things you should know about this vibrant part of Toronto.

Where is the Entertainment District?

The entertainment district of Toronto is incredibly easy to find. It is located in Old Toronto, around King Street West between University Avenue and Spadina Avenue. Its location between the fashion and financial districts makes it perfect for those who want to find good food or something fun and entertaining to do immediately after work or a day of sight-seeing.

In addition to its central location, it also has some great connections for public transport. Union Station, Canada’s largest railway station, is located right on the border of the entertainment district. There are also multiple subway, streetcar and bus stops throughout the entertainment district. Whether you are heading in or out, or are just moving around the area, you will find plenty of ways to do so.

Nightlife

One of the primary reasons to head to the entertainment district is for the amazing nightlife. No matter what you might be looking for, you will be able to find it here. Some of the best clubs in Toronto are to found in the entertainment district. Lavelle and SPiN Toronto are some of the best places to go for a fun night.

The nightlife is diverse and eclectic; you will find plenty of bars and themed venues with live music if you want something a little more chill. However, of you enjoy ‘playing the tables’ in a casino, unfortunately there aren’t land-based casinos to enjoy in Toronto yet. Do not fear though, WiFi is available; if you want some casino action, all you need is a live internet connection to be able to enjoy the best casinos in Canada online!

Theatre & Film

Of course, nightlife is not the only thing on offer from Toronto. This area is home to some of the best theatres in the country. Head to King Street West, where you will find many big-name productions.

There are also a few places to check out if you want to check out if you consider yourself to be a film buff. Make sure you head to the home of the Toronto International Film Festival – the TIFF Bell Lightbox – for the chance to see a screening of the best old films and big blockbusters.

Food & Drink

No matter what type of food you might be in the mood for, you should be able to find it on offer in the entertainment district! For some fantastic Chinese dishes, you should head to Lee. The chef and owner Susur Lee has made appearances on a few cooking shows, and his food is delicious.

If you want some of the best affordable food, make sure you check out some of the street food in the area. There are so many tasty dishes to try at just a fraction of what you might pay in other restaurants around the city.

Accommodations

Being so centrally located, there are also plenty of places where you could choose to stay in the entertainment district. One of the best hotels is the four-star SoHo Metropolitan Hotel. This boutique hotel is perfectly situated just a few streets away from the hustle and bustle of the district. There are also plenty of chain hotels if you want to have somewhere a little more affordable to rest your head.

With so many condos and high-rises around the district, you might also be able to find a serviced apartment too. There are so many different places to stay, and it means that you are never going to be too far from all the action.

Come to Toronto Now!

The Toronto entertainment district is no doubt going to be one of the places where visitors spend a lot of time. If you are searching for a good base of operations for your time here, looking for somewhere to stay in the entertainment district is a good idea. Yes, it is always going to be busy, but it just means that there is always something to do.

If you are visiting Toronto, you need to head to the entertainment district at least once. Whether you are searching for something delicious to eat, or you are headed to a museum or theatre, the entertainment district is waiting for you.
