Do you sometimes feel like you’re being pulled in a million directions? I am in full wedding planning mode, and we have just moved into our first home.  Believe me, it has not been a relaxing summer. However, I recently learned to slow down and listen to myself in order to get through these happy, but busy, times. My tip? Do things that you love and set aside some time for these things on a daily basis. Here are my essentials to manage busy times and say yes to you, every day!

A Glass of Wine

I love good food, and I like to enjoy a glass of wine, even on a weeknight. For me, it’s a way to step out of my routine, to celebrate life and to savour every second. I enjoy cooking a lot, but it can sometimes become a chore; with a glass of wine in my hand, it just feels special.  I like wines that have body, like chardonnay or cabernet sauvignon. To avoid overindulging, I only open one bottle of wine every week at home, so we stretch the fun over several days

A Sheet Mask

If you have not tried a sheet mask, I guarantee you will love it! Taking care of my skin has always been a priority, but over the years, I have less and less free time, and life seems to always be on the fast track. That is why I like the idea of applying a sheet mask; it’s almost impossible to do anything else when you put one of these on! I typically use this time to enjoy a few minutes of TV, watch YouTube videos, or do my nails. It forces me to stop and be calm for about ten minutes while I pamper my skin.

A Magazine

Reading magazines has been my favourite hobby since I was little. No wonder I now work in the media industry. I love to read, but find that I mostly read books about entrepreneurship or personal growth, so that I can learn and grow. That’s why I like to take a break and read a magazine about the latest trends and even celebrity gossip.  It allows me to completely unwind! They are easy reads, and are usually filled with positive fashion and beauty trends. Honestly, if you want to make me happy, buy me a magazine!

A Shopping Budget

With the wedding and the house, I now have no choice but to be more careful with my budget. It is still important for me to allow myself some shopping money, especially with what I do for work. I spend my time writing about the latest trends, and I love fashion. I like to allocate a small monthly budget so that I can purchase a few key items every season. This is why I think it is important to invest in basic items, and to complete your wardrobe with some trendy pieces that may only be in style for a season.

Koena Probiotics

A Daily Dose of Probiotics

Beyond the little things I do every day, I think it is also essential to take care of your health, which is why I have been taking probiotic supplements for a few years now. I really like koena Woman Daily supplement. It keeps me balanced by helping to support my gastrointestinal health.
