For every new skin care product, beauty gadgets or trends that we talk about on DIVINE, there are hundreds more. If the last beauty innovation that you heard of is the Clarisonic Brush, we have some news for you! Here are three items that are hot right now among beauty bloggers and YouTubers. Which one will you try? Tell us below in a comment!

The Jade or Rose Quartz Face Roller

These tools been very popular on YouTube and Instagram for several months, but Face Rollers have been used in traditional Chinese medicine for years. They are used after applying an oil, mask or a serum on the face to help relax the muscles and allow the treatment to penetrate better. How do you choose one? Jade is known to help relax the nervous system and eliminate any toxins from the skin. It is said that it carries a restorative energy that can help balance us and bring a sense of harmony.

The ancient Egyptians believed that pink quartz crystals had anti-aging properties. These beautiful pink crystals are also commonly known to open up the heart chakras to unconditional love and positive energy, making it one of the most important gemstones for healing.  Rose Quartz is also recognized for reducing stress, increasing self-esteem and re-balancing emotions, and since it is packed with minerals like magnesium, iron and oxygen, it helps to reduce inflammation and promote skin cell renewal. You can get your hands on a face roller for as little as $10, so why not try it?

The Face Razor

Maybe you’ve already heard of dermaplaning, the treatment that removes peach fuzz and dead skin cells from the face. It is a treatment that I personally like very much, because it leaves you with an amazing glow and leaves skin completely smooth. A few months ago, I received a tool like this one from Sephora.

After doing some research, I learned that many women swear by shaving their face – a bit like the professional dermaplaning treatment – and that it is now part of their regular beauty routine. It is recommended to use it two to three times a week and to apply an oil first which will make it easier to remove any of the unwanted hair after. It is said by some that it’s a myth that the hair on your face will grow stronger, or darker after dermaplaning, but in any case, we recommend that you use this technique with caution!

The LED Light Mask

Light therapy is one of the biggest beauty trends of 2018. We see more and more of these treatments appearing in professional spas and it is now possible to get the benefits of the treatments right at home. An LED Light Mask allows the user to target a specific problem area for the skin, depending on the color of the light that is being used.

Red light helps to stimulate collagen and reduce dark spots, while blue light fights acne and reduces inflammation. If the look of the mask is somewhat amusing, several celebrities have made it popular by posting pictures of themselves on Instagram with their LED mask on (#LEDmask). Katy Perry, Jessica Alba and Linda Evangelista are fans, so why not try it?
