In a significant move towards combating domestic violence and supporting survivors, YSL Beauty Canada has announced a groundbreaking three-year partnership with Women’s Shelters Canada (WSC), marking the Canadian launch of the Abuse Is Not Love program.

Love Without Abuse: Abuse is not love creative

The Abuse Is Not Love program aims to address the alarming prevalence of domestic violence and provide essential resources and support to those affected across Canada. By partnering with Women’s Shelters Canada, YSL Beauty demonstrates a firm commitment to leveraging its platform and resources to drive positive change and make a tangible difference in the lives of survivors.

Domestic violence remains a pervasive issue, with devastating consequences for individuals, families, and communities. According to Statistics Canada, one in three women in Canada will experience some form of domestic violence in their lifetime. The pandemic has only exacerbated this crisis, with lockdown measures trapping many individuals in dangerous situations with their abusers.

Through the Abuse Is Not Love program, YSL Beauty and Women’s Shelters Canada aim to raise awareness about domestic violence, provide vital support services to survivors, and empower individuals to break free from abusive relationships. The program will encompass various initiatives, including educational campaigns, fundraising efforts, and direct support for women’s shelters across the country.

One of the key objectives of the partnership is to destigmatize discussions surrounding domestic violence and foster a culture of empathy and support. By leveraging its influence and reach, YSL Beauty hopes to spark meaningful conversations and encourage individuals to speak out against abuse, seek help, and support those in need.

YSL Beauty’s decision to launch the Abuse Is Not Love program in Canada underscores the brand’s commitment to social responsibility and its dedication to making a positive impact beyond the realm of beauty. By aligning with Women’s Shelters Canada, an organization at the forefront of the fight against domestic violence, YSL Beauty has positioned itself as a champion for change and a catalyst for progress.

Through collaboration, advocacy, and support, YSL Beauty and Women’s Shelters Canada are paving the way for a future where love truly knows no abuse
