Beautiful, warm weather is finally here and it is giving us a reason to change up our look!  There is no better way to beat the heat than with a new hair style. Here are four of the top summer hair trends that we have seen on celebrities and on Instagram:

Air-Dried Hair

I have to admit, I’m a fan of this au naturel trend. If, like me, your hair is fragile and your hairdresser recommends that you stay away from any hot styling tools, you’ll want to adopt this simple way of styling your hair! Your hair may not be perfect, but air-dried hair will give you a relaxed, natural look this summer!

DIVINE’s product of choice: a leave-in conditioner, like the Absolue Keratine from René Furterer, $49 in salons,

The Low Ponytail

In the summer, hairstyles are less complicated. A low ponytail is lower is easy, natural and chic all at the same time. Add a little volume on the top of the head or put a fashionable hat, if the sun is too intense!

DIVINE’s product of choice: A hair holder from the Invisibobbles collection from $9 at Sephora.

Pastel Hair

Summer Hair: Pastel Hair Colour

Oh yes, this trend is still going strong this year and we are seeing more violet than ever for the summer! It’s the perfect season for colorful hair, and since pastels will fade with the sun and washing, the colour will become much softer over time.

DIVINE’s product of choice:  Color Crave from Clairol, a semi-permanent hair color that will allow us to try out the trend, without any commitment $14.99 at drug stores.

Waves

A classic! Beachy waves are also much more natural and relaxed than the straight hair that you sport in the winter. We create this look by applying a salt spray and letting our hair air-dry.  It’s a simple and stylish hairstyle that can be achieved with very little effort!

DIVINE’s product of choice: Texture Maker Sea Salt Crystal Spray from Sebastian, $22.95 at salons and select drug stores.
