Whether it’s because your kids are on vacation or you really need that summer getaway, booking a trip is probably one of the best feelings in the world. From the warmest beaches to the most beautiful architectural hubs, here is a list of 10 destinations to get you started on planning your 2018 trip of a lifetime.

Port Hope, Canada

This little Canadian town might be small, but it’s full of stunning cafés and antique shops. It’s also home to one of the best burger restaurants in the country. Whether you’re driving from Montreal for a day trip or just exploring more of your own province, it is a great town to relax and unwind in. Best of all, the Airbnbs look like they came straight out of a a movie from the 1990’s.

San Francisco, California

The gorgeous Californian city is an architectural masterpiece with it’s whimsical houses and crooked streets.  With a beautiful waterfront, musical history and proximity to wine country, San Francisco is perfect if you want to stick to North America for travel. From the Golden Gate Bridge to Alcatraz Prison, the city has something for everyone.

Banff, Canada

The scenery in Banff National Parks is absolutely breathtaking. With plenty of resorts, hotels, and cozy Airbnbs to choose from, this trip to the Canadian Rockies is a once in a lifetime chance to connect with nature and still have all of the comforts of home.

Bogatá, Colombia

Located in in central Columbia, the capital is home to some of the most exquisite museums and restaurants on the entire continent. This is a city of contrasts with nods to both old and new.  It is the perfect gateway for first time visitors to South America.

Qingdao, China

This ‘small’ seaside city in China, with a population of 9 million people, is one of the country’s hidden gems.  Qingdao was once a German colony, and the architecture is a blend of 20th century German and Chinese styles. With a beach close by, night markets seafood delights and beer, this exquisite city is a must see.

Seoul, South Korea

This South Korean cultural hub is just a short plane ride away from Qindao. The city is burgeoning with good food, amazing shopping, and a nightlife that rivals Las Vegas. Highlights for first-time visitors include the Hongdae shopping area for indie fashion and Lotte World featuring the largest indoor theme park!

Johannesburg, South Africa

The most populous South African city has so much to offer, Safari tours are a given, but it’s close to the Cradle of Mankind World Heritage Site. The city itself has so much to offer and with art and history museums and with warm or temperate weather year round, it’s the perfect destination to stay and play in.

Oslo, Norway

This Scandinavian city is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Europe, especially in the summer. With access to beautiful fjords, the Royal Palace and maritime museums – Oslo is a must for your bucket list. You can even enjoy drinks at 11 p.m. in the land of the midnight sun!

Dubrovnik, Croatia

This South Croatian city, known as the Pearl of the Adriatic Sea, offers access to the beach and panoramic views of the water. Its pedestrian-only Old City and access to outdoor activities, means that there is something for everyone to enjoy in Dubrovnik.

Vienna, Austria

Baroque streetscapes and grand palaces lend to the majesty of this “old new city”.  Sip a coffee and enjoy a slice of Sachertorte at the famous Sacher Hotel, see the Crown Jewels at the Imperial Treasury or feel like royalty while walking through the Habsburg’s Schönbrunn Palace.  Why not sample Wiener schnitzel – the most famous dish from Vienna at a charming Inn near the famous Black Forest.  This is a must see destination.
