It&#8217;s for air fryer fish finger nachos.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This version of nachos transforms a classic snack favourite into a more complete meal and is a new way to serve up MSC certified sustainable fish sticks to little and big kids alike. Now, for what you have been waiting for &#8211; the recipe for air fryer fish finger nachos!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Prep: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">10 minutes<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Cook Time: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">10-15 minutes<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Serving size: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Serves 4 as a main course for lunch, dinner or a hearty snack<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Experience level:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Beginner<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"ingredients\">Ingredients:<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1 box (640 g) of your favorite MSC certified sustainable breaded Fish Sticks<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00bd cup (115 g) tomatoes, seeded and chopped<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2 tbsp (30 g) pickled jalape\u00f1o, chopped<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2 green onions, chopped<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">4 tbsp (15 g) fresh coriander (cilantro), chopped<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"nacho-cheese-sauce\">Nacho Cheese Sauce:<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2 tbsp (28 g) unsalted butter<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2 tbsp (15 g) flour&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2 cups (500 ml) milk&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2 cups (225 g) shredded Tex Mex cheese&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1 tsp (2.5 g) chili powder&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"how-to\">How-to:<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Preheat the air fryer to 400\u00b0F<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cook the fish sticks in the air fryer for 5-7 minutes or until crispy.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In a small saucepan over medium low heat, melt the butter and whisk in flour. Cook for 1-2 minutes, or until the mixture starts to smell toasty.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Slowly add in the milk stirring constantly and bring to a low simmer. Cook stirring often until the sauce is thick enough to coat the back of a spoon.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Add in the shredded cheese a handful at a time and mix well until each is fully incorporated.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Season the cheese sauce with chili powder and salt to taste.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To assemble, on a large platter, spread out the crispy fish sticks, top with the nacho cheese sauce and garnish with chopped tomato, pickled jalape\u00f1o, green onions, and coriander (cilantro).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Optional: serve with sour cream, guacamole, salsa, hot sauce, or whatever other nacho toppings you have handy.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"post-excerpt\">It&#8217;s Fish Fridays and we have another ocean friendly recipe from Canadian chef and Marine Stewardship Council ambassador Charlotte Langley.
