It is the perfect blend of sweet and spicy. Pair the James Beard Semifinalist\u2019s Cranberry Chutney with <a href=\"https:\/\/divine.ca\/en\/garlic-brown-sugar-dry-brine-turkey-recipe\/\">turkey<\/a>, other poultry or with a cheese platter.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1604246\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1604246\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1604246 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/divine.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Interior-Shot-of-Chef-Cheetie-Kumar-of-Garland-in-Raleigh.jpg\" alt=\"Cranberry Chutney: Chef Cheetie Kumar, Author\" width=\"600\" height=\"399\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1604246\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo Courtesy of Visit North Carolina<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2 id=\"ingredients\">Ingredients<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>12 oz fresh cranberries (about 3 \u00bd cups)<\/li>\n<li>\u00be cup fresh squeezed orange juice<\/li>\n<li>\u00bc cup water<\/li>\n<li>Zest from 1 orange, finely grated<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd cup white sugar<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd cup brown sugar<\/li>\n<li>1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd tsp ginger powder<\/li>\n<li>\u215b tsp ground clove (freshly ground preferred)<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd tsp freshly cracked black pepper<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd stick cinnamon pinch kosher salt<\/li>\n<li>Small pinch kashmiri chili powder or cayenne pepper (optional)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"directions\">Directions<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Combine all ingredients in a heavy bottomed pot, and cook over low heat for 30-45 minutes, stirring occasionally.<\/li>\n<li>When the cranberries have popped, softened completely and most of the liquid has reduced, remove from heat and taste.
