The USA really adopted Cinco De Mayo as a holiday and celebrations there are actually bigger than they are in Mexico. Eventually, Canada started celebrating Cinco De Mayo too. Who doesn\u2019t want to enjoy some amazing <a href=\"https:\/\/divine.ca\/en\/traveling-taste-buds-rajas-taco-from-boca-tacos\/\">Mexican food<\/a> and margaritas?<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/quesada.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Quesada Burritos and Tacos<\/a> is the perfect place to get your Cinco De Mayo eats. If you are feeling ambitious though, and want to make your own salsa, the Canadian restaurant chain shared \u201cThe Joy of Mex\u201d with us with three of their famous salsa recipes. <span class=\"\">Buen <\/span><span class=\"highlightedText--1Y1LcJ46\">provecho!<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"chipotle-tomato-salsa\">Chipotle Tomato Salsa<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Quesada\u2019s Chipotle Tomato Salsa has a mild heat level. This simple recipe can be made spicier by adding more chipotle peppers if you want more heat.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Makes 2-3 cups<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3 id=\"ingredients\">Ingredients:<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">5 medium tomatoes<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1 \u00bd\u00a0 Tbsp canned chipotles in adobo sauce*\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2 Tbsp diced cooking onion<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1 tsp salt<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 id=\"directions\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0Directions:<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Preheat oven to 450\u00b0F.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Place tomatoes on a parchment paper-lined rimmed baking sheet and score an \u201cx\u201d into the tops of the tomatoes. Place in oven and roast for approximately 30 minutes, or until the tops are charred and tomatoes are soft.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Remove from oven and cool.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Place tomatoes and their juices into a blender. Add remaining ingredients and pulse until you have reached your desired consistency. Taste and adjust seasoning, if necessary.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"salsa-verde\">Salsa Verde<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This medium salsa has a bright, slightly acidic note from the tomatillos. It\u2019s the perfect salsa to balance out rich ingredients like shredded meats and cheese.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Makes 4 cups<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3 id=\"ingredients-2\">Ingredients:<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1 lb fresh tomatillos<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1 \u00bd cups water<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2153 cup diced jalapenos<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2153 cup diced onion<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2153 cup chopped cilantro<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1 \u00bd tsp salt<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 id=\"directions-2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0Directions:<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wash tomatillos, remove outer husk, then rinse again.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Quarter tomatillos and place in a medium pot with water. Cover, bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat and simmer covered, for 10 minutes, or until soft.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cool in pot. Once completely cooled, pour tomatillos and liquid into a blender, then add remaining ingredients. Blend until smooth.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Taste and adjust seasoning, if necessary.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"salsa-roja\">Salsa Roja<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Salsa Roja is Quesada\u2019s fiery-hot, bold salsa that not everyone can handle.
