A family movie marathon is fun, but it isn&#8217;t complete without the popcorn and some treats. You can have the best of both worlds and create these popcorn treats! We are sharing three of our favourite recipes below.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"recipe-1-frankenstein-popcorn-brain\">Recipe #1: Frankenstein Popcorn \u2018Brain\u2019<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-1603094\" src=\"https:\/\/divine.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Halloween-brain.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/divine.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Halloween-brain.jpg 500w, https:\/\/divine.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Halloween-brain-80x80.jpg 80w, https:\/\/divine.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Halloween-brain-320x320.jpg 320w, https:\/\/divine.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Halloween-brain-90x90.jpg 90w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Frankenstein Popcorn \u2018Brain\u2019 Fun Halloween recipe of colored marshmallow coated popcorn formed into a brain shape for a giant spooky popcorn ball.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prep time:<\/strong> 5 minutes<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cook time:<\/strong> 25 minutes<\/p>\n<p><strong>Serves:<\/strong> 8<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"ingredients\">Ingredients<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>PAM Original No-Stick Cooking Spray<\/li>\n<li>1 bag (70 g) <a href=\"https:\/\/orville.conagrafoods.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Orville Redenbacher\u2019s<\/a> Gourmet Sweet and Salty Popcorn<\/li>\n<li>4-<sup>1<\/sup>\/<sub>2<\/sub>\u00a0cups (1.050L) miniature marshmallows<\/li>\n<li><sup>1<\/sup>\/<sub>4<\/sub>\u00a0cup (60 mL) soft margarine<\/li>\n<li>5 drops green food coloring<\/li>\n<li>3 drops yellow food coloring<\/li>\n<li>Cherry-flavored twist candy, optional<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"directions\">Directions<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Spray large bowl, rubber spatula and piece of waxed paper with cooking spray; set aside. Prepare popcorn according to package directions. Remove all unpopped kernels and place popped corn in large bowl.<\/li>\n<li>Microwave marshmallows and margarine in large microwave-safe bowl on HIGH 1 minute 30 seconds or until marshmallows melt and mixture blends when stirred. Add food coloring; stir to combine.<\/li>\n<li>Pour marshmallow mixture over popped corn. Toss with greased rubber spatula to coat. Cool 10 minutes or until mixture is easy to handle. Divide mixture and shape into 2 &#8216;brain lobes&#8217;. Place on waxed paper and press lobes together. Cool until set. Transfer to serving platter; decorate with candy, if desired.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2 id=\"recipe-2-gigantic-turtle-candies\">Recipe #2: Gigantic Turtle Candies<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-1603102\" src=\"https:\/\/divine.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Popcorn-Turtles.jpg\" alt=\"Popcorn: Turtle Treats\" width=\"501\" height=\"501\" srcset=\"https:\/\/divine.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Popcorn-Turtles.jpg 400w, https:\/\/divine.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Popcorn-Turtles-80x80.jpg 80w, https:\/\/divine.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Popcorn-Turtles-320x320.jpg 320w, https:\/\/divine.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Popcorn-Turtles-90x90.jpg 90w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 501px) 100vw, 501px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Three pecan halves, making the turtle\u2019s head and front legs, are topped with caramel coated popcorn, then covered with melted chocolate.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prep time:<\/strong> 30 minutes<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cook time:<\/strong> 1 hour and 30 minutes<\/p>\n<p><strong>Serves: <\/strong>21 (1 each)<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"ingredients-2\">Ingredients<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>1 pkg (99 g each) Orville Redenbacher&#8217;s Gourmet Buttery Flavour Microwave Popcorn<\/li>\n<li>PAM Original No-Stick Cooking Spray<\/li>\n<li>63 pecan halves<\/li>\n<li>1 pkg (14 oz each) caramels, unwrapped<\/li>\n<li>2 tablespoons margarine<\/li>\n<li>2 tablespoons whole milk<\/li>\n<li>1 pkg (12 oz each) semisweet chocolate morsels<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"directions-2\">Directions<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Prepare popcorn according to package directions.<\/li>\n<li>Remove all un-popped kernels.<\/li>\n<li>Place popped corn in large bowl; set aside.<\/li>\n<li>Spray 2 large baking sheets with cooking spray.<\/li>\n<li>Arrange 21 groups of three pecan halves in cloverleaf pattern on baking sheets.<\/li>\n<li>Place caramels, margarine and milk in microwave-safe bowl; microwave on HIGH 3 to 4 minutes or until caramels melt, stirring once.<\/li>\n<li>Pour over popcorn; gently toss to coat evenly.<\/li>\n<li>Cool 2 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Spray hands with cooking spray.<\/li>\n<li>Shape popcorn into 1-inch mounds; press onto center of each pecan cloverleaf.<\/li>\n<li>Place chocolate morsels in microwave-safe bowl and microwave on HIGH 2 minutes or until smooth when stirred. Remove any un-popped kernels.<\/li>\n<li>Spray a piece of waxed paper and large (4L) microwave-safe bowl with cooking spray. Add butter and marshmallows; toss to coat. Microwave on HIGH 1-1\/2 minutes or until marshmallows are melted, stirring after 45 seconds. Stir in food colour.<\/li>\n<li>Add popped corn; stir gently until coated well. Cool 10 minutes or until popcorn mixture is easy to handle. Moisten hands with water; shape 1\/4-cup (60 mL) mixture into 1-1\/2-inch (4 cm) balls. Place on waxed paper.
