{"id":1599875,"date":"2020-07-02T00:01:57","date_gmt":"2020-07-02T04:01:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/divine.ca\/?p=1599875"},"modified":"2020-07-02T10:00:15","modified_gmt":"2020-07-02T14:00:15","slug":"teriyaki-hawaiian-turkey-breast-sandwich-recipe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/divine.ca\/en\/teriyaki-hawaiian-turkey-breast-sandwich-recipe\/","title":{"rendered":"Teriyaki Hawaiian Turkey Breast Sandwich Recipe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"pk-dropcap pk-dropcap-borders\">Summer is officially here, and that means deck season is too.\u00a0 If you are looking for some different recipe ideas, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CBgn5XZh3TL\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gabrielle Pellerin&#8217;s<\/a> Teriyaki Hawaiian Turkey Breast Sandwich is perfect.\u00a0 It is sweet and savoury and oh so good.\u00a0 It brings a taste of Hawaii right to your backyard.\u00a0 Cook the turkey on your <a href=\"https:\/\/divine.ca\/en\/canada-day-recipe-maple-herbs-smoked-spatchcock-turkey\/\">BBQ<\/a> to add a hint of smokiness to the dish.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Serves:<\/strong> 2<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prep time:<\/strong> 10 mins<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cooking Time:<\/strong> \u00a030 mins<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"ingredients\"><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>1 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadianturkey.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">turkey breast<\/a> (about 500g)<\/p>\n<p>Salt and pepper, to taste<\/p>\n<p>1\/2 can (398ml) of diced or crushed pineapple, drained<\/p>\n<p>1 can (199ml) of corn kernels, drained<\/p>\n<p>1 small bunch of parsley, chopped<\/p>\n<p>1\/2 red onion, thinly sliced or chopped<\/p>\n<p>1 tbsp lime juice<\/p>\n<p>1 tbsp vegetable oil<\/p>\n<p>1\/4 cup mayonnaise<\/p>\n<p>1\/3 cup teriyaki sauce, store bought<\/p>\n<p>4 burger buns<\/p>\n<p>4 grilled red bell peppers in oil, store bought<\/p>\n<p>1 head of romaine lettuce, torn into big pieces<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"directions\"><strong>Directions:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>1) Heat a drizzle of oil in a pan over medium high heat.<\/p>\n<p>2) Add salt and pepper to the turkey breast. Cook the for turkey 5-6 minutes on one side.<\/p>\n<p>3) Turn the turkey, reduce heat to low and cover. Cook for 18-20 minutes until the turkey is cooked through. 165 degrees<\/p>\n<p>4) Remove from the pan, cover, let sit for about 5-8 minutes before slicing.<\/p>\n<p>5) Mix the diced pineapple with the corn, parsley, red onion, lime juice, a drizzle of oil, salt and pepper.<\/p>\n<p>6) Mix the mayonnaise with the teriyaki sauce.
