{"id":1597903,"date":"2020-05-08T08:43:42","date_gmt":"2020-05-08T12:43:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/divine.ca\/?p=1597903"},"modified":"2020-05-08T08:43:42","modified_gmt":"2020-05-08T12:43:42","slug":"brunch-inspiration-breakfast-turkey-egg-croissants","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/divine.ca\/en\/brunch-inspiration-breakfast-turkey-egg-croissants\/","title":{"rendered":"Brunch Inspiration: Breakfast Turkey &#038; Egg Croissants"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"pk-dropcap pk-dropcap-borders\">These Breakfast Turkey &amp; Egg Croissants will kick your weekend off right!\u00a0 Yes, we know that they are labeled as a breakfast dish, but they are AMAZING for brunch.\u00a0 Michelle Wong created a protein-packed meal that is whimsical and something that you do not often see on your brunch plate.\u00a0 Honestly, these are so good, why restrict yourself to brunch?\u00a0 Be a rebel and enjoy Breakfast Turkey and Egg Croissants <a href=\"https:\/\/divine.ca\/en\/make-it-your-own-greek-turkey-meatball-gyros\/\">at dinner too<\/a>!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Serves: 4<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Prep time: 10 minutes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Cooking Time: 15 minutes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Calories 500<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Protein \u2013 26g<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Carbs \u2013 32 g<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Fat \u2013 29g<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Sodium 1211 mg<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3 id=\"ingredients\"><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>-4 store-bought croissants (day-old is best)<br \/>\n-4 tsp Dijon mustard<br \/>\n-8 slices roasted <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadianturkey.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">turkey<\/a> deli meat (2 per croissant)<br \/>\n-4 tbsp caramelized onions<br \/>\n-4 slices cheese (Michele Wong used Havarti)<br \/>\n-4 eggs<br \/>\n-1\/4 tsp ground pepper<br \/>\n-1\/2 tsp chopped rosemary<\/p>\n<p><strong>Directions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1) Preheat oven to 350\u00b0F.<\/p>\n<p>2) Cut the croissant across 1\/3rd from the top. Place the \u201ctops\u201d aside.<\/p>\n<p>3) Create a well in the croissant by slightly cutting the inside of the croissant and push down.<\/p>\n<p>4) Smear 1 tsp of Dijon mustard in the well.<\/p>\n<p>5) Stuff in the roasted turkey deli meat.<\/p>\n<p>6) Add 1 tbsp of caramelized onions on top of the turkey.<\/p>\n<p>7) Place the cheese over top.<\/p>\n<p>8) Create a little nook for the egg by pushing down on the cheese.<\/p>\n<p>9) Crack an egg into the nook (depending on how large your eggs are, you may need to remove some egg white or it may overflow).<\/p>\n<p>10) Place the croissant onto a baking sheet.<\/p>\n<p>11) Repeat with the remaining ingredients.<\/p>\n<p>12) Place into the oven and bake at 350\u00b0F for 15 minutes, until the egg is just set.
