{"id":1595253,"date":"2020-04-06T11:21:32","date_gmt":"2020-04-06T15:21:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/divine.ca\/?p=1595253"},"modified":"2020-04-09T14:29:53","modified_gmt":"2020-04-09T18:29:53","slug":"oven-baked-bbq-ribs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/divine.ca\/en\/oven-baked-bbq-ribs\/","title":{"rendered":"Oven Baked BBQ Ribs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"pk-dropcap pk-dropcap-borders\" dir=\"auto\">Are you a rib lover, but you don&#8217;t own a barbeque?\u00a0 We&#8217;ve got you covered with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pretendyoucooked.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pretend You Cooked&#8217;s<\/a> oven baked bbq ribs.\u00a0 They are easy to prepare and the smoky flavour means you won&#8217;t miss having a grill.\u00a0 It&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/divine.ca\/en\/super-bowl-sunday-recipes-turkey-chili-mac-and-cheese\/\">comfort food<\/a> at it&#8217;s best.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"ingredients\" dir=\"auto\">Ingredients:<\/h3>\n<div dir=\"auto\">1 rack of back ribs<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Dry Rub Mix (recipe below)<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Sweet Baby Ray\u2019s chicken and rib barbecue sauce (any jar will do)<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">1\/2 cup brown sugar<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">4 drops liquid smoke<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">2 tablespoons ketchup<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">1 tablespoon soya sauce or Worcestershire sauce<\/div>\n<h3 id=\"directions\" dir=\"auto\">Directions:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li dir=\"auto\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.finecooking.com\/article\/how-to-remove-silverskin-from-ribs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Remove silverskin<\/a> from back side of ribs.<\/li>\n<li dir=\"auto\">Liberally use dry rub all over both sides of the ribs using your hands to rub the spice into the meat.<\/li>\n<li dir=\"auto\">Wrap the rib rack in foil and place on a baking sheet.<\/li>\n<li dir=\"auto\">Cook on 275 for two hours. Remove from oven and drain any grease.<\/li>\n<li dir=\"auto\">Add more rub to front and back of ribs and place on parchment lined baking sheet.<\/li>\n<li dir=\"auto\">Set oven to broil and broil ribs on both sides for 2-3 minutes each.<\/li>\n<li dir=\"auto\">Mix all barbecue sauce ingredients together and baste one side of ribs. Broil for another 2-3 minutes. Flip ribs to other side and add sauce. Broil for another 2-3 minutes until crispy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 id=\"dry-rub\" dir=\"auto\">Dry Rub:<\/h3>\n<div dir=\"auto\">3 tbls garlic powder<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">1.5 tbls onion powder<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">3 tbls paprika<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">1 tbls salt<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">1 tsp thyme<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">1 tsp oregano<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">1\/2 tsp cayenne<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">3 tbls brown sugar<\/div>\n<h3 id=\"notes\" dir=\"auto\">Notes:<\/h3>\n<div dir=\"auto\">You can substitute honey, apple sauce or regular sugar for the brown sugar in the barbecue sauce. Liquid smoke is found in most groceries stores but can be omitted.
