Las Vegas, Nevada. The city that never sleeps is also one of the best places to visit if you\u2019re on a holiday. The city hosts over 40 million tourists each year.\u00a0 People visit from all over the world to experience all Vegas has to offer. With so much to do, it\u2019s the ideal place for a range of people; from high rollers, to families or a weekend away with friends. Want to know why Vegas is considered by most to be a dream holiday? Here are the top six things to do in the city:<\/p>\n

Start at The Las Vegas Strip<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Famously known as The Strip, one of the most famous stretches of roadway in the world is 6.8 km South Las Vegas Boulevard. It has one of the highest concentrations of bars, casinos and hotels in the area.\u00a0 The Strip is home to some of the most popular attractions in the city including Caesars Palace, the Bellagio and the Stratosphere. It is definitely the first place to start on a trip to Las Vegas. The iconic area has many great photo opportunities and of course, just so much to experience<\/a>.<\/p>\n

You can have a go down the Strip on one of the many bus tours available; or stretch your limbs and go by foot<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Check out The Neon Museum<\/strong><\/h3>\n

For fans of the city\u2019s famous light installations, you can take a trip back through time at The Neon Museum.<\/p>\n

Displayed outdoors on a 2.62 acre lot, the museum features signs from old casinos and other businesses. Also called the \u2018boneyard\u2019, this is definitely a unique experience \u2014 one that you can only have in a city filled with lights.<\/p>\n

Take a trip on the High Roller<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>Las Vegas\u2019s High Roller is a 550-foot tall Ferris Wheel \u2014 and one of the best ways to see the city. It opened to the public in March 2014 and is located on The Strip.\u00a0 The High Roller is currently the world\u2019s tallest ferris wheel, beating the previous record held by the Singapore Flyer. For those that aren\u2019t too scared of heights, it\u2019s a must see. If you\u2019re over 21, try going VIP in a Happy Hour cabin, where you can enjoy a cocktail or two with one of the most incredible views in the world.<\/p>\n

Have a Go at Gambling <\/strong><\/h3>\n

Gambling and casinos are hugely popular all around the world. While Nevada may be home to one of the biggest casino cities in the world, Nevada State Law currently doesn\u2019t regulate online casinos \u2014 meaning that at the moment there is no Nevada licensed online casino. It makes sense; making online gambling illegal in Nevada means that more people will visit their land-based alternatives.<\/p>\n

The Fountains of Bellagio are a familiar sight in Hollywood films.\u00a0 A Las Vegas landmark ,the Bellagio is home to the fantastic dancing fountains \u2014 with more than 1,200 geysers shooting across an eight-and-a-half acre lake. Based right on the Strip, for your convenience, they erupt every half hour in the afternoon with an incredible show every 15 minutes from 8pm until midnight.<\/p>\n

The Fountains of Bellagio are free to visit \u2014\u00a0and definitely should be part of anyone\u2019s dream list of places to visit in Vegas.<\/p>\n

Visit Caesars Palace<\/strong><\/h3>\n

One of the most famous hotels and casinos in the world is Caesars Palace. Located on the west side of the Strip between the Bellagio and The Mirage, it\u2019s one of the city\u2019s most well-known landmarks. With a range of restaurants, a modern casino facility, entertainment and over 3,960 rooms, Caesars Palace is definitely the place to stay, eat and play. The casino features everything from blackjack, craps, baccarat, Spanish 21 and roulette as well as a 24-hour poker room and an impressive amount of slot machines and video poker machines.
