I first heard of this device a little before the holidays. My fiancé, who is becoming more and more interested in smart home technology, had told me about this device that manages and programs the temperature of your home easily. What was surprising to me was when the Nest became a hot topic around holiday dinner with our friends. My curiosity was piqued! So, we got one for ourselves.

Whether you program it from our phone or let it learn your preferences and program them, the Nest provides unparalleled peace of mind. This was especially important this winter. Every time the temperature dropped drastically outside; we could easily program the temperature of the house remotely in order to arrive home to a warm, comfortable home after a long day of work.
The Nest also learns our lifestyle habits, and adapts itself to us. Unbelievable, isn’t it? It lowers the temperature slightly at night and makes sure to put it back to a warmer level when you are at home in the evenings. The device helps save energy and helps you save on your heating and cooling bills.
My only advice would be to ask for help from someone who is comfortable installing electrical devices to help set it up. It is not complicated to install or to understand, but I personally prefer not to take any chances when it comes to electricity!
The Nest starts at $329 at Walmart, Best Buy and online.
